All in all then this is a good step forward for the Antalya airport, having first received a good update and build since version 1.8, now this one is even further improved with a new runway, a better taxiway lighting, and a few other improvements.
If you are into historical scenery, then there are many airports worth getting from the airport Antalya collection. Note the campaigns, the ground markings, the approach lighting, the taxiway lighting, runway lighting, clearance to land, VFR, hairpin turns, long and short grass runways, the ATC tower, the approach lights, the runway lights, the cargo areas, fully loaded aircraft, the passenger boarding bridges, the transfer jetway, and lots more.
All in all then this is a popular and very good scenery for anyone looking to fly to or between Turkey, in particular Istanbul, with Turkish Airlines. Note in particular that the huge Turkish Airlines fleet of A330-300 aircraft are correctly from the good looking Turkish LTFM prepared Airbus A330-300 production series. Note further also that they now include a few IFE updated new planes and a some details and props updates.
Fans of X-Plane have been particularly excited by this announcement, due to the unexplored opportunities it brings to the simulation. The fact the airports of Istanbul are so close together means that many more paths and roads are open than simply those wide, well-established, and well-populated highways that already exist in other major airports.
According to the Airport Authority which is in charge of the airport, the first phase of aircraft parking is already well under way with several aircrafts--including Tupolev, Boeing, Embraer and Gulfstream among others--parked under the terminal. The second phase will conclude in the next few days.
The second completed and operating runway, 16L/34R, was opened on Monday, March 4th. The airport saw its first passenger service on March 10th when a privatized Baku Air flight to Baku landed there. The third runway, 17R/35L, opened 100 days later on April 5th. On June 29th, the fourth runway, 17L/35R, opened. 7211a4ac4a
