I Soar Like The eagle

Trust in God and wait with confident anticipation and hope. For if you do, He will give you such faith-filled confidence that will allow you soar with wings like an eagle to ride out any storm and reach the blue skies of victory.
In particular, the imagery of an eagle soaring with its powerful wings evokes a vivid simile that we too, as believers in Christ, can possess the strength, boldness, and serenity of this majestic, feathered raptor in our own faith walk.
If we choose to wait on God and rely on Him as our source of strength as the eagle relies on a wind current, we can conserve our energy by allowing Him to direct our paths, just like the eagle uses wind currents to determine his flight path.
Furthermore, instead of flapping our wings in an attempt to move in our own strength, we can instead stretch out our wings and soar with minimum effort, whilst allowing the Lord to take us to heights greater than we could ever achieve on our own.
God intends for us, His children, to live an abundant life until it overflows (John 10:10). Therefore, if the burdens of life are weighing you down like dark, threatening clouds, place your trust in God and wait with confident anticipation and hope in Him.
An earlier 1973 version features a more bluesy and less funk-inspired rhythm, with the guitar taking the synthesizer parts (albeit with similar delay effects).[5] The lyrics are slightly different, indicating that the place the eagle wants to fly away from is a Native American reservation. The final, funk-inspired album version pays homage to "Slippin' into Darkness" by War (1971).
Larry Flick from Billboard felt that the soundtrack to Space Jam "is off to a roaring start, thanks to this faithfully funky rendition of Steve Miller's classic rocker. [...] After the solemn tone of his own compositions in recent years, Seal clearly sounds like he's having a blast as he cruises through the track's rubbery bassline and space-age synths." He added, "In fact, listen closely, and you will catch him vamping a few lines from his breakthrough hit, "Crazy", toward the end."[18] Daina Darzin from Cash Box stated that "you couldn't ask for a more perfect take on the song, which Seal makes even more spacey, swirling and effortlessly gorgeous than the original."[19] Matt Diehl from Entertainment Weekly gave the song a B, writing, "Aside from some funky scatting and a dash of hip-hop rhythm, the soul slickster doesn't add much to Steve Miller's '70s classic-rock classic. Seal does get points for good taste in cover material, though: The song's ethereal synthesizer squiggles, wah-wah guitars, and soaring chorus sound great in the '90s. The latest fast break on the charts from the Space Jam soundtrack, it's perfect music for Michael Jordan to slam to."[20]

I love the word, soar. It makes me think of an eagle soaring high above the clouds. Did you know that eagles are the only bird who fly higher in a storm? Others birds will find shelter during a storm but not the eagle. The eagle allows the strong winds to lift them even higher, high above the storm. The raging storm actually helps them soar high above the clouds.
If you want to soar, it is essential to put your hope in God, to fully trust that God has a greater plan even beyond your wildest imagination. Keep focused on the fact that God is developing your character and preparing you for His purpose. Do not give up hope along the way when the detour is long and you feel discouraged. Remember in the waiting time that God is developing deep roots in you so that you will be ready to soar to new heights.
Oh my gosh! I love the comparison of us to the eagle, and God to the strong winds, and letting Him elevate us above the clouds so that we can soar, as we fix our eyes on Jesus. Also loved the deep roots part!So so good!!
Four distinct species of eagles have been noticed in Palestine, so it is no surprise that the writers of Scripture would be inspired to write about them! The Bible often uses the symbol of an eagle to portray strength, power, vision, and even destruction. The Biblical analogies using eagles should inspire us to righteous living and strengthen our walk with God!
Here is a collection of our favorite Bible verses about eagles. We hope that they will encourage your faith and challenge you to face today with the power and might of our God guiding your way.
5 Ourselves-Perhaps the greatest obstacle for us! By subcumming to all the above, we prevent ourselves from being free to soar. By refusing to pray, to read the Bible, or go to church, we place ourselves on the ground where we are easy pray for the enemy. We have no one else to blame if we are attacked.
Without Jesus, we cannot overcome all that prevents us from soaring above this world. Trust Jesus to help you spread your wings and start flying towards the Son-Of-Man. All things are possible from he who saved us from he who sought to keep us captive and prevent us from soaring like an eagle!
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
The first was like a lion and had eagles' wings. Then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man, and the mind of a man was given to it.
Listen to me in silence, O coastlands; let the peoples renew their strength; let them approach, then let them speak; let us together draw near for judgment. Who stirred up one from the east whom victory meets at every step? He gives up nations before him, so that he tramples kings underfoot; he makes them like dust with his sword, like driven stubble with his bow. He pursues them and passes on safely, by paths his feet have not trod. Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he. The coastlands have seen and are afraid; the ends of the earth tremble; they have drawn near and come. ...
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
You can rarely see a convocation of eagles. These independent and lone birds of prey can soar alone for 4 to 6 hours without landing. One might think eagles could be more powerful when strategizing together, but they don't have to prove it otherwise.
Since eagles embody courage, they became symbols of power as early as the 4th millennium BC in Mesopotamia, in the 2nd millennium BC by the Hittites, in Roman legions, and even up to today in powerful nations like America and Germany.
Even though its purpose was to uplift spirits, the famous internet story about the eagle's rebirth is false. Eagles do not lose their talons and beaks when they reach 30 to 40 years old. They also do not pluck out all of their feathers, all assets essential for the eagle's survival. And, no creature has the luxury of extending its lifespan unless raised in captivity. From 30 to 40 years old in the wild, eagles can reach around 70 years old when in confinement.
Do parent eagles push their eaglets out of the nest to learn how to fly? Absolutely not! Eagles are the most hands-on parents in the animal kingdom. Their nests, called eyries, will always have one parent present who will take care of the eaglets, providing shade from the sun and warmth to combat the cold. Even after young eagles learn how to fly, their parents will continue to teach and support them for another four to five weeks.
Eagles have two anatomical features to fly as high as 20,000 feet above sea level and as fast as 200 mph. Would you believe they have hollow bones to reduce their weight? The bald eagle's entire skeletal structure weighs slightly more than half a pound. Eagles also have slotted wings that can separate, letting them soar on updrafts of warm air.
"My parents always wanted me to do the right thing. My mom, I think her exact words were, 'You're not a chicken in the coop playing in the scraps, you're an eagle.' I was like, 'Oh, OK... ' But really, I've used that throughout my life."
Eagles fearlessly fly into raging storms. Due to their wings' design, they can ride the strong current to rise higher without consuming much energy, soaring above storm clouds to much more peaceful air.
"Even if death were to fall upon you today like lightning, you must be ready to die without sadness and regret, without any residue of clinging for what is left behind. Remaining in the recognition of the absolute view, you should leave this life like an eagle soaring up into the blue sky."
Eagles are nicknamed Kings of the Sky due to their calculated hunting skills, among other reasons. Some eagles let other birds do their hunting for them. After pelicans or herons catch a fish, sea eagles will taunt them until they drop their food. Some eagles will eat exhausted birds who fail to catch fish for hours. They will conserve their energy as much as possible and eat whatever food is available in nature. 2b1af7f3a8
